Media Stable and Medianet partner to deliver #MeetTheMedia

Medianet 2 mins read

Media Stable and Medianet have partnered to deliver Australia’s leading media education and engagement event #MeetTheMedia.

#MeetTheMedia is a half-day event where business owners, communicators, experts, and leaders of the industry come together to learn how the media cycle works. Attendees hear firsthand from some of the country’s top media professionals, including journalists, producers, and presenters.

This unique media event has been presented around the country for the past seven years, building strong relationships and understanding between business and the media.

The partnership was motivated by both Media Stable and Medianet, wanting to support and educate their clients on how to be the best media communicators. To do this, they need to have strong media relationships that are based on trust and reliability.

“#MeetTheMedia is an event where attendees can meet, learn, and engage. There are no hand-outs or privileges, just a clear understanding of what the media is looking for in a pitch, and what talent can do to help improve their chances of getting their story published or listened to,” Nic Hayes, MD of Media Stable and the MC and founder of the event said.

“An attendee of #MeetTheMedia walks away with more than a few media connections. They have a clear picture of their future communications strategy and have the confidence to pitch their story to the media.”

“Given Medianet’s unique standing in the media and the PR landscape, we believe in the value of connecting storytellers with story sellers and the importance of educating our clients on how to get a return on their significant media efforts by engaging effectively with media contacts.” Amrita Sidhu, Managing Director of Medianet said.

“#MeetTheMedia is Australia’s premier event series bringing together a diverse range of journalists with PR practitioners and industry experts with the goal of finding ways to work better together. This goal is completely aligned with Medianet’s own vision for our subscribers and through this partnership we will supercharge education, thought leadership and value for our clients and the industry.”
