Western Australian renters are paying an extra $20,000 per year in rent compared to four years ago according to a new report, prompting renewed calls for rent caps to stabilise out-of-control rent rises. Perth has retained its position as Australia's most unaffordable capital for renters, while regional WA saw the steepest decline in affordability in the country, according to a new report.
