ACT Home To The Biggest Number Of Taylor Swift Fans

With Australia in meltdown today over trying to get their hands on Taylor Swift tickets, one SEO and digital marketing expert has crunched the numbers to see which Australian state wins the prize of having the most Swifties.

On social media, fans across the country have been posting their devotion for Taylor and with her Eras world tour making its way to only two Australian cities - rivalry between Sydney and Melbourne has become fiercer than ever with some fans even sleeping out overnight, braving the Winter weather.

But it’s one Australian city that is clearly home to the most amount of Swifties.

Shoaib Mughal, Managing Director of Australian SEO and digital marketing agency, Marketix Digital says “When it comes to Taylor Swift fans, ACT is clearly the favourite. Based on search data, the most number of people, proportionately, is ACT. They rank with a score of 100, with Sydney ranking 90 and Victoria 80 with Queensland lagging behind Tasmania with a score of a mere 61.”

People living in WA and NT are least devoted to Taylor with both states taking out the bottom two ranks, only WA beating NT by 1 with a score of 41. “With WA and NT being so far from Sydney and Melbourne, where Taylor will be performing, I think her fans in these states have given up trying to buy tickets and they would have to pay for flights and accommodation in these two cities. With accommodation being reported as being scarce in both capitals, it’s no wonder that NT and WA fans have given up on trying to secure Swift tickets.”

Shoaib, who helps Australian businesses with their SEO has also looked at data to see what Swifties are dying to know about her with the top five results being:

  1. How old is Taylor Swift?
  2. How tall is Taylor Swift?
  3. Is Taylor Swift coming to Australia?
  4. Who is Taylor Swift Dating?
  5. When is Taylor Swift coming to Australia?
