DRONE SAFETY REMINDER THIS NATIONAL FARM SAFETY WEEK

The Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) wants to remind all agricultural operators about the drone safety rules during National Farm Safety Week.

 

In Australia, drones are increasingly being used to carry out agricultural operations such as crop monitoring and spraying, livestock management and land surveying.

 

While the use of drones can deliver improved efficiency and reduced costs, it’s important that operators know the rules before they fly.

 

This National Farm Safety Week we are encouraging agricultural operators to visit our website and learn more about the drone safety rules. This includes how the weight of your drone will determine what licence you may need and when you need to seek further approvals from CASA for certain operations.
