Ora Gold Limited (“Ora” or the “Company”, ASX: OAU) is thrilled to announce further high-grade gold results from the South-Eastern Ore Body (SEB) of Crown Prince Gold Prospect, confirming the development of the SEB zone as a key growth area for gold resources.
The latest results were extracted from OGGDD537, a drill core taken from the hinge zone of the newly delineated SEB anticline, a region shown to house exceptional gold grades from recent RC Holes. The intercept supports the Company’s hypothesis for SEB mineralisation, suggesting a wealth of high-grade gold mineralization that remains open at depth. The greatest grades and thicknesses have been observed in the hinge zone of a SSW plunging anticline.
The newly disclosed intercept is positioned 53m along strike to the north-east from the high-grade intersection detailed in OGGDD536, thereby confirming the down dip continuity of mineralisation in this area and providing substantial strike extension. This vital data validates the Company's interpretation of the SEB structure.
Mineralised envelopes between northerly trending shears have shown contorted and folded patterns, while the MOB mineralization is located in a steep south-east plunging anticline. SEB mineralization is hosted within a steep south-westerly plunging anticline. These two zones are partitioned by a northerly trending shear zone.
The lode consists of quartz-carbonate-chlorite-sericite with occasional veinlets of pyrite, arsenopyrite, pyrrhotite, and traces of galena.
Ora Gold's CEO Alex Passmore said, “We are very pleased to report more high-grade results from our diamond drill program at Crown Prince. Results from OGGDD537 were eagerly awaited given the strong alteration seen in drill core as described in recent announcements. This result confirms down dip continuity of mineralisation in this area, supports our interpretation of the SEB structure, and is a substantial strike extension from the high-grade intercept in OGGDD536 that we announced recently”.
The Company will shortly conduct additional RC drilling between 50m and 200m vertical depth and diamond drilling to 300m vertical depth at SEB. This will further consolidate a resource estimate for the new zone of mineralisation (i.e. SEB) at Crown Prince.
The Crown Prince Prospect is a high-grade gold deposit, part of Ora Gold’s Garden Gully Project. Crown Prince is situated 22km north-west of Meekatharra in Western Australia via the Great Northern Highway and the Mt Clere Road.
