AUSTRALIA’S LEADING READY MADE MEAL COMPANY TAKES ON HELLO FRESH AND MARLEY SPOON WITH NEW FAMILY MEAL KITS

Matt Sinclair launches the Xpress Meal Kits

Australia’s largest healthy meal delivery service, Lite n’ Easy, has just launched its first family friendly offering, Xpress Meal Kits, saving struggling Aussies time and money.

The new hybrid meal kits, available nationally, are a quicker and easier version of regular meal kits on the market, taking the hard work out for busy families. The new meal kits only require an average of 13 minutes of prep time, compared to other meal kits which take upwards of 30 minutes.

Most of the preparation required by customers will simply include heating and assembling which means the whole family, including kids can be safely involved at mealtime.

The Xpress Meal Kits include several family favourites, minus the extra calories and saturated fat. The starting range includes Pasta Bolognaise with Garlic Bread, Margherita Pizza, Classic Supreme Pizza, Chicken Schnitzel and Butter Chicken with Naan Bread.

Each Xpress Meal Kit includes more than 1.5 serves of vegetables, a good source of fibre and a health star rating of 3.5 or above.

The Lite n’ Easy Butter Chicken with Naan Bread has 603 calories per serving, compared to a takeaway version which can be up to 1,141 calories per serve.

Celebrity Chef and Lite n’ Easy ambassador, Matt Sinclair says “These dinners are great to have in the fridge as an option for a healthy meal when I haven’t got time to prepare anything myself. Our restaurant runs lunch and dinner service most days and there is not much time to do anything else.”

“For me and my young family, juggling the restaurant and other food projects, Lite n’ Easy is

all about convenience. I came home from the gym the other night and had the chicken schnitzel meal kit ready for the family in a flash. I did the schnitzels in a hot oven, but they can also go in a pan or in the air fryer, whatever is most convenient for people,” he added.

Despite the growing cost of living, Australians are buying takeaway food up to three times a week. Canstar Blue has reported that on average, Aussies are spending $60 a week on takeaway.

Lite n’ Easy Accredited Practising Dietitian Ashleigh Jones says, “These statistics show that Australians are happy to pay when it comes to convenience – but they don’t have to. With Xpress Meal Kits, families can still enjoy takeaway style meals at home but spend much less money.”

“We know how busy people are, so this new range makes it easy for couples and families to get a healthy meal on the table in less time than it takes to order take away. Xpress Meal Kits are a healthier version of your takeaway favourites – they’re lighter on calories but packed full of flavour,” she said.
