Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) - Australia’s leading voice for people affected by breast cancer – is concerned that a fearmongering campaign has resulted in politicians considering a disallowance of 60-day dispensing policy.
BCNA CEO Kirstin Pilatti said we know the financial impact of a breast cancer diagnosis and many other chronic diseases is significant and we should be doing everything we can to support reducing these out-of-pocket costs.
‘Sixty-day dispensing will help alleviate some of these costs for our members. This is a policy that works around the world, and we must find a way forward that does not hit our most vulnerable,’ Ms Pilatti said.
'On behalf of our network of 180,000 members, we call on all politicians to put consumers first and support this policy.'
