CIMIC Group's software development company, IDD Tech has launched its innovation partnership with Torrens University Australia (TUA). Panelists discussed the theme Connecting people, ideas and data to advance sustainability.

CIMIC Group’s software development company, IDD Tech, and Torrens University Australia have launched an innovation partnership.

The partnership drives applied research and software development to advance innovation, sustainability and productivity in infrastructure delivery and services. Its establishment generates opportunities for academics, PhD candidates and industry specialists to share knowledge and collaborate on applied research projects.

Announcing the partnership, CIMIC Group’s Executive Chairman Juan Santamaria said: “Our partnership fosters the exchange of ideas and skills, and supports innovations through their research and development phases into implementation.

“With access to major projects for testing and trials, we can fast track practical solutions for advancing sustainability.”

The partnership’s four collaboration areas include:

  • Innovation studio – establishing an international ideas network
  • Workforce training – codesigning research-based and customised training
  • Knowledge transfer – sharing research outcomes.
