CORRECTION: Mine Safety Conference starting in Rockhampton today

The Mining and Energy Union’s 2023 mine safety conference starts today, running until Thursday.

About 70 Site Safety and Health Representatives from coal mines across Queensland are gathering in Rockhampton to discuss the latest issues in coal mine safety. They will participate in training and hear from mine safety experts.

Media are welcome to attend the event.

MEU Queensland President Stephen Smyth will address media on key themes of the conference on Tuesday 8 August at 1pm - TOMORROW.

The press conference will be on TOMORROW, TUESDAY THE 8TH, NOT WEDNESDAY AS PREVIOUSLY ADVERTISED.
