Critical Minerals Group (ASX: CMG) – Encouraging Metallurgy Results

Critical Minerals Group Limited (ASX: CMG) 2 mins read

Key Highlights:

  • Preliminary testing of the upper seam reveals a 1.5% V2O5 leach feed grade and an impressive 85% leach extraction of vanadium, with indications of potential for further enhancement.

  • The Lindfield Project has shown the potential for a profitable secondary product material – HPA (High Purity Alumina) with a product grading of 4N (99.99% Al2O3) based on initial tests on mineralised samples.

  • Lindfield Project Scoping Study is progressing as planned and is set to be completed by the end of Q3 2023.

Critical Minerals Group Limited (ASX: CMG, Critical Minerals Group or the Company) is thrilled to share positive outcomes from the initial metallurgical test work for its flagship Lindfield Project (EPM 27872), strategically located 30km from Julia Creek in North-West Queensland.

Scott Winter, the Company’s Managing Director, expressed his enthusiasm about the preliminary results:

“The early stage process testing of the vanadium material from each of the mineralised seams is a pivotal phase in the overall process and is crucial for the production of V2O5 and electrolyte products. Witnessing such promising results in a relatively short span for a seam not yet included in the resource is truly exhilarating for both the team and the project. Similarly, our first test on the alumina mineralised samples successfully produced our target 4N (99.99% Al2O3) HPA product. Achieving such a high-grade HPA through a straightforward refinement stage is indeed commendable and bodes well for potential future production.

These findings not only validate the superior quality of resources at the Lindfield Project but also offer a glimpse of the potential for further enhancement of the mineral resource material as the process undergoes refinement. The outcomes from the upper seam have empowered us to revisit and fine-tune the resource modelling, indicating a potential upside from our recently declared resource. These results are being incorporated into the Scoping Study, which is in progress and slated for completion by the end of Q3 2023.”

About us:
