NEW LOCATIONS TO RETURN AND EARN NOW OPEN IN THE SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS

Return and Earn 2 mins read

It’s never been easier for Southern Highlands locals to recycle their eligible bottles and cans and redeem the 10c refund with two new Return and Earn locations now open in the area.

Return and Earn Express Moss Vale is now open with a Return and Earn machine also recently opening at Robertson Bowling Club.

“Wingecarribee Shire residents are already enthusiastic users of Return and Earn, having returned more than 44 million containers for recycling through local return points since the scheme launched in December 2017,” said James Dorney, CEO of TOMRA Cleanaway, network operator for Return and Earn.

“With the opening of these two locations, there are now five return points in the Wingecarribee local government area, providing the local community with even greater access and convenience to recycle their eligible bottles and cans, all while being rewarded for their efforts.”

Users of the Robertson machine can print a voucher for the refund amount, redeemable for cash at Robertson Supermarket, and users of Return and Earn Express Moss Vale can redeem their vouchers at Coles Moss Vale.

Residents can also opt for an e-voucher or payment into their bank account or PayPal by downloading the Return and Earn app before visiting. Alternatively, they can donate their refund to one of the charity partners listed on the machine or through the app.

“Return and Earn has become a key fundraising channel for charities across NSW. Since launching over five years ago, more than $42 million has been raised for charities and community groups via donations and fees from hosting return points,” said Mr Dorney.

Robertson Public School P&C is the current local donation partner listed on the Robertson machine, with all funds raised helping provide resources for students.

Bowral Men’s Shed is featured as the current local donation partner on the Moss Vale machines, with funds raised supporting their work in the community.

Return and Earn continues to be an overwhelming success, with more than 9.8 billion drink containers returned for recycling through the network of over 600 return points across NSW.

The Robertson Return and Earn machine is located at Robertson Bowling Club, 1 Yarranga Street, Robertson and is open from 7am to 7pm, seven days a week.

Return and Earn Express Moss Vale is located at Unit 12/19 Redfields Road, Moss Vale, and is open from 7am to 5pm, seven days a week.
