The day will also feature guided Mosque tours including a demonstration of the Islamic call to prayer (Adhan) and the Islamic prayer.

Event Details:

  • Date: October 7th, 2023
  • Time: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Venue: Mahmood Mosque, 6-8 Toogood Avenue, Beverley SA 5009

Imam Kamran Tahir stated:

“We are hosting an Open Mosque Day to answer all questions that members of the community may have on Islam and its teachings, including on the rights of women. There is a common misconception that Muslim women are oppressed, however, this could not be further from the truth. We invite all interested community members to attend this Open Mosque Day to have these questions answered firsthand by Muslim women themselves.”
