FOOTY FINALS FEVER HEATS UP AT LIQUORLAND & COLES WITH FOOD & DRINK PROMOTION

With AFL and NRL finals about to kick off, Liquorland and Coles are launching a joint promotion that offers footy fans greater value at the checkout when purchasing BBQ favourites including meat and beer.

From today, when customers purchase any two specially marked Coles Brand sausages and/or hamburgers in-store and scan their Flybuys card, they will receive $5 off any 16, 24 or 30 pack of beer in-store at Liquorland^.

The promotion will run throughout the finals season and comes as new Coles research finds 2 in 3 customers are concerned about cost-of-living pressures and more than 1 in 2 people are cooking more at home in order to keep costs down*.

Coles Liquor General Manager Customer, Loyalty Mia Lloyd said the promotion was another example of how Coles and Liquorland are delivering on great value, at a time when Aussies need it most.

“We’re excited to be launching this food and drink promotion that will see footy fans get $5 off any 16, 24 or 30 pack of beer in-store at Liquorland when they purchase two Coles Brand hamburgers or sausages in-store and scan their Flybuys card,” she said.

“Together we are the destination for food and drink this finals season, offering our customers excellent value for them to enjoy the game at home with their favourite beer and some great-tasting meat,” Mia added.

Coles General Manager Meat, Deli and Seafood Martin Smithson said the promotion comes just as Aussies crank up the BBQ with friends and family and more than 1 in 2 customers admit to buying more specials to help deal with cost-of-living pressures*.

“As temperatures heat up and Aussie households fire up the BBQ to celebrate the footy finals, Coles Brand sausages and hamburgers are a delicious, budget-friendly option that they can pair with their favourite beer and be rewarded with $5 off any 16, 24 or 30 pack in-store at Liquorland,” said Martin.

To participate customers must purchase any two specially marked Coles Brand sausages and/or hamburgers in-store between 6 September to 3 October and scan their Flybuys card to activate the offer. Customers must then shop in-store at Liquorland before Tuesday 10th October 2023, purchase any case of 16, 24 or 30 pack of beer and scan their Flybuys card to receive $5 off. This promotion is only available to individuals 18 years and above. Liquorland supports the responsible enjoyment of alcohol.

British Veterinary Association Ends Opposition to Vegan Diets for Dogs

SOUTHAMPTON, ENGLAND / ACCESSWIRE / July 25, 2024 / The British Veterinary Association (BVA) has ended its opposition to (nutritionally-sound) vegan diets for dogs. Until recently, its opposition was regularly reported. However, the BVA also has a corporate partnership with Mars Petcare, which makes large sums from selling meat-based pet foods. Stated Andrew Knight, veterinary Professor of Animal Welfare: "The Mars-BVA partnership represents a significant conflict of interest. Veterinary associations have a responsibility to ensure their positions are evidence-based, up-to-date and not influenced by conflicts of interest." Following such critique, in 2023 the BVA ceased its public statements opposing vegan…
