Hartshead Resources NL (ASX:HHR) – Pipeline Route Survey Commencement & Platform Bids Receipt

Hartshead Resources NL (ASX:HHR) 2 mins read

artshead Resources NL (Hartshead, HHR or the Company) in collaboration with its Joint Venture (JV) partner Rockrose Energy (Rockrose), a subsidiary of Viaro Group, is delighted to announce the mobilisation of the Gardline Vessel “Ocean Observer” to the Anning and Somerville field locations. This significant move marks the commencement of the pipeline route survey, which is pivotal for the gas offtake from these fields.

The survey, which began this month, is anticipated to conclude by early October, with the caveat of potential weather-related delays. The results from this survey will play an instrumental role in the forthcoming Environmental Statement. Moreover, it will offer a comprehensive insight into the seabed conditions, thereby aiding in the pipelay for efficient gas transportation.

The MV Ocean Observer, an impressive 80.4-metre Multi Role Survey Vessel depicted in Figure 1, is tasked with a work programme that will furnish the Company with crucial data regarding the seabed and sub-seabed soil conditions. This information is paramount in finalising the pipeline design and ensuring a streamlined pipeline installation process from the Anning and Somerville locations.

In a parallel development, in line with the field development contracting plan, the Company is pleased to confirm the receipt of bids for the Engineering, Procurement, Installation, and Commissioning (EPIC) contract concerning the Anning and Somerville Platforms. The subsequent steps involve a thorough review of the technical and commercial facets of each bid. Post this evaluation, the Company will put forth a recommendation to the JV Operating Committee, suggesting which enterprise should be bestowed with the contract.

Keith Bush the Hartshead COO said, "With our third offshore operation of the year underway, the Anning and Somerville development is rapidly taking shape. In conjunction with the ongoing subsea survey programme, receipt of the platform bids allows the team to continue to progress the development programme towards the execution phase of the project.”
