Loyal Lithium (ASX:LLI) – Drilling Underway at the Trieste Lithium Project, James Bay

Loyal Lithium Limited (ASX:LLI) 2 mins read

Loyal Lithium (ASX:LLI) is excited to announce that drilling has commenced at the Trieste Lithium Project, a mere six weeks post its discovery. The current drill program is set to cover up to 2,000m, with the results anticipated to support a more extensive drilling program planned for the upcoming Canadian winter.

The fast-tracked drill program will primarily target Dyke #01, which stands out as the largest dyke, both in terms of surface area and topographic prominence, among the five spodumene-bearing pegmatite dykes identified during the recent field mapping program.

In a significant development, Midland Exploration, in collaboration with Rio Tinto, has recently discovered Spodumene on the adjacent Galinée project. This marks the third lithium project within a 14km radius of the Trieste greenstone region, effectively connecting Winsome Resources' Adina and Loyal Lithium's Trieste Lithium Projects.

Reiterating their commitment to sustainable operations, Loyal Lithium and Winsome Resources have entered into a Collaboration MOU. This agreement outlines a range of shared objectives, primarily focusing on minimizing the environmental and stakeholder impacts of operations within the Trieste greenstone region.

Loyal Lithium’s Managing Director, Mr. Adam Ritchie, commented: "It’s great to see our drilling contractor on site only six weeks after the initial discovery. The swift turnaround time is a credit to the Loyal Lithium team and the mining regulators of Quebec. The initial drill results and other advanced exploration activities will provide valuable information to plan future drilling programs.”

“With three nearby spodumene bearing projects now identified, the Trieste greenstone region could play an important role in the emerging North America lithium supply chain. We look forward to the drilling results and advancing this highly perspective property.”
