Independent ACT Senator David Pocock, Australia Institute Climate and Energy Program Director Polly Hemming and community leaders from flood-affected Lismore will launch the Australia Institute’s 2023 Climate of the Nation report today.

When: 9.30am, Mural Hall, Australian Parliament House

Who: Independent ACT Senator David Pocock, Australia Institute Climate and Energy Program Director Polly Hemming, former Lismore mayor Jenny Dowell OAM and Lismore business owner Dr Graeme Palmer.

What: Launching the 2023 Climate of the Nation report that shows strong support for holding fossil fuel giants accountable for climate damage, and concern about impacts on food supply, agriculture and insurance premiums.

NSW EPA Investigating Allegations of Falsified Sample Results

The NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) is investigating environmental consultant Noel Child of N G Child & Associates, in relation to allegations of falsified sampling results in a number of environmental reports across NSW. The EPA understands that part of Mr Child’s role was to test potential development sites and then make environmental assessments for clients as part of development applications to local councils.
