Media Alert: Healthcare workers on NSW parliament steps with a “Gas-Free Healthy Homes” open letter to the Minns Government and placards with logos

What: Health professionals will gather outside New South Wales Parliament to deliver to the Minns’ State Government an open letter from over 20 health organisations that gas use is harmful to health and should be minimised.

Where: NSW Parliament steps, 6 Macquarie St, Sydney

When: Tuesday, September 12, at 12:45 pm - 1:30 pm

Who: Representatives from Doctors for the Environment Australia, Healthy Futures, AMA NSW, Asthma Australia and other organisations

 

Why: Domestic gas use poses a range of direct and indirect risks to health, which many of us witness in our communities. Health workers are asking Minister Penny Sharpe MP, NSW Minister for Climate Change, Energy and Environment to support phasing away from fossil gas.
