Teachers and support staff in Queensland Catholic schools across the state are set to vote no to cuts to current working conditions as an employer document goes to ballot tomorrow (Tuesday, 12 September).

Independent Education Union – Queensland and Northern Territory (IEU-QNT) Branch Secretary Terry Burke said Queensland Catholic school employees would be voting no to the employer attack on their rights at work.

“Voting no to cuts to workplace stress and harassment provisions,” Mr Burke said.

“Voting no to unsustainable workloads.

“Voting no to unfair and outdated wages for school support staff.

“Voting no to the employer attack on sick leave.

“Voting no to employer threats and intimidation over back pay.
