To mark International Day of the Girl today, girls' rights charity Plan International Australia, Federation Square, women sports stars from the Matildas and AFLW and gender equality advocates join forces to celebrate the power and agency of girls and demand a prioritisation of their rights. Media are invited to film/interview talent and audience ahead of a free public screening of Bend it Like Beckham. (4:15pm)

Time: From 3pm, Wednesday 11 October
