Thousands of union members will on Thursday march through Sydney to NSW Parliament House calling for a ban on engineered stone ahead of federal and state work health and safety ministers meeting on Friday.
Who: CFMEU National Secretary Zach Smith, CFMMEU National Secretary Christy Cain and state leaders including Darren Greenfield and Rita Mallia (NSW), John Setka (Victoria), Michael Ravbar (Queensland), Mick Buchan (WA)
What: Major protest rally to call for ban on engineered stone, which is killing Australian workers. The CFMEU's Stop This Killer Stone Campaign has pledged to ban it on worksites if governments don't act by July 2024.
When: Thursday October 25, 8.30am march for 9am rally
Where: NSW Parliament House after march from Belmore Park up Elizabeth St through Hyde Park and up Macquarie St
