Ora Gold Limited (ASX: OAU) – Further Shallow High Grade Gold Intercepts at Crown Prince

Ora Gold Limited (ASX: OAU) 2 mins read

Ora Gold Limited (ASX: OAU), a renowned player in the mining industry, is thrilled to announce the discovery of high-grade gold mineralization following the recent phase of slim Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling at the SEB1 zone of the Crown Prince Prospect (M51/886), a part of the expansive Garden Gully Project.

The slim RC drilling, with a diameter of 4.5 inches, has delivered promising results, showcasing further high-grade gold mineralization. Some of the notable intercepts from the recent drilling include:

  • 2m at 910g/t Au from 29m and 4m at 15.74g/t Au from 72m in hole OGGSRC574
  • 2m at 6.44g/t Au from 71m and 7m at 2.7g/t Au from 77m in hole OGGSRC579
  • 7m at 4.37g/t Au from 50m, including 1m at 16.43g/t Au from 52m in hole OGGSRC601
  • 6m at 3.06g/t Au from 86m and 1m at 12.48g/t Au from 91m in hole OGGSRC604
  • 3m at 5.33g/t Au from 64m, including 1m at 10g/t Au from 66m in hole OGGSRC610

Additionally, shallow gold grade intercepts have been returned from Crown Prince East, delineating a potential new mineralized zone located 900m east of the MOB2. This discovery highlights the prospect’s potential for further gold resources and emphasizes the Company’s commitment to exploring and expanding its assets.

All assay results from the slim RC holes have been received and are included in this announcement. However, the remaining assays from the deep RC and diamond tails are still pending, due to the slower process of structural assessment and core cutting in the field.

The results indicate a north-east extension of the SEB zone, potentially off-setting or turning northerly. Two new mineralized zones have been delineated further east at Crown Prince East Gold prospect, previously known as Cloudkicker (Doray Minerals, 2013). Their extension towards the south-west across the main left tributary of the Garden Gully drainage will be tested in a new phase of drilling during the next quarter.

Ora Gold Limited remains dedicated to the advancement of the Crown Prince Prospect, recognizing it as a key growth area for gold resources. The prospect comprises the SEB1 and MOB2 mineralized zones, with high-grade results returned from shallow depths and along strike at SEB.

All new assay results discussed in this announcement can be found in Appendix 1 & Figures 2-5, with all recent slim RC drill hole details included in Table 1. The remaining assay results from the previous deep RC and diamond tails will be announced once the entire data set is received and compiled.

Alex Passmore Ora Gold’s CEO Commented: “We are very pleased with these results from the Company’s drilling east of Crown Prince which outline high-grade gold mineralisation at shallow depths. We look forward to following up with further drilling which will likely add substantially to the mineralised strike length at Crown Prince.”
