Wynnum Fringe founder Tom Oliver is calling on Brisbane to create a world record

Calling on Brisbane to be part of a record-breaking community choir singing The Wynnum Takes It All!

(yes, you read that correctly!)

Hey Brisbane, want to make a little musical history? Founder of the WYNNUM FRINGE, Tom Oliver is calling on Brisbane to set the world record for the largest gathering of people singing The Wynnum Takes It All in Wynnum on Saturday November 18 at 10am.

This free event welcomes everyone, whether seasoned singer or a shower crooner. And it’s ABBA, so there’s that!

Tom is inviting everyone to gather in the beautiful Wynnum Fringe Garden, he’ll lead the Community Choir in a morning of joy, music, and unity! He has also written the lyrics (see below) and listen here

“This year Wynnum Fringe is bigger, there’s more performers plus we are calling on people from everywhere to join us on Saturday 18 at 10am and help us make history with the largest community choir. We are taking on ABBA's The Winner Takes It All - or is it The Wynnum Takes It All? We should check if Benny & Bjorn didn't accidentally misspell the lyrics when writing it!" said Tom.

“We do love a pun at the Fringe, last year it was You Can’t Wynnum All But You Can Wynnum Fringe, and this year we’ve been inspired by ABBA, and are proudly putting Wynnum on the map!”

Up close, unplugged, by the Bay; this is the Wynnum Fringe, where legendary performers share stages with huge Bush Turkey puppets and, burlesque dancers, and late night shows entertain the adults, where comedy, drama, cabaret and circus share the spotlight and internationally famed children’s characters bring the joy for families, and harmony and respect is celebrated with Traditional Owners. THE WYNNUM TAKES IT ALL

VERSE 1

I don't wanna talk

About things we've gone through

Though it's hurting me

Now it's history

I've played all my cards

And that's what you've done too

Nothing more to say

No more ace to play

CHORUS 1

The Wynnum Takes It All

The loser standing small

Beside the victory

That's our destiny

VERSE 2

The greatest town of all

On the fringe of Brisbane

It's where we love to be

Come and you will see

The best community

Young, and old and in-between

Sittin’ by the sea

It’s the place to be

CHORUS 2

The Wynnum Takes it All

The Bayside Festival

There's so much to see

Come join the party

The Wynnum Takes It All

The Bayside Festival

There's so much to see

Feel the energy!
