These athletes, who are competing in the five-event series - the biggest, richest, and most exciting week of surf ski racing globally – will be sharing their knowledge by directing a series of masterclasses at this free-to-attend clinic.

The Nipper clinic will kick-off at 9am at the Sorrento Surf Lifesaving Club and will be for juniors in the U10’s – U13’s category.

Commenting on the clinic, and the important role it plays in shaping WA’s future lifesavers, Shaw and Partners Financial Services Co CEO Earl Evans said, “The attending athletes are some of the best in the country, who started as Nippers and understand the importance of giving back to the sport.”

“While we are all here to race, it is important that we all contribute to our future lifesavers.

“To have the best athletes in the country in the one spot, guiding and teaching these young Nippers is something the children will remember for a very long time.”

Ali Day and Lana Rogers, the respective male and female champions of the Coolangatta Gold – one of the premier events on the Australian ironman calendar – will be leading proceedings.

The champion pair will be flanked by other legends of the sport, including two-time Australian Life Saving Championship Female Competitor of the Carnival Jemma Smith, Corey Taylor who was crowned World Ironman Champion at the 2022 World Lifesaving Championships, as well as recent Surf Life Saving Australia Hall of Fame inductee Georgia Miller.

Other legends to be in attendance at the clinic include Kendrick Louis, Cory Hill, Emily Doyle, Hannah Sculley, Jake Morris, Zach Morris.

The 90-minute clinic will be followed by an exclusive Q&A session held in the Race Week marquee, with the athletes discussing their own journey from being a Nipper to reaching the pinnacle of the sport. The Q&A session will also see a handful of prizes awarded, including a pair of nipper boards as well as countless other giveaways.
