Loyal Lithium (ASX:LLI) – New Discovery of 6th Spodumene Pegmatite -Trieste Li Project

Loyal Lithium Limited (ASX:LLI) 2 mins read

Loyal Lithium Limited (ASX: LLI), a pioneering force in lithium exploration, is excited to announce the discovery of a new spodumene bearing pegmatite dyke, named Dyke #06, at its Trieste Lithium Project. This discovery, confirmed by rock chip assay results from the recent summer field program, marks a significant expansion in the project's potential.

Dyke #06, nestled among five previously discovered spodumene-bearing pegmatite dykes, has shown promising signs of robust lithium mineralization, with assay results reaching as high as 7.60% Li2O. This new dyke is part of a series that includes:

  • Dyke #04: 7.60% Li2O
  • Dyke #03: 7.44% Li2O
  • Dyke #05: 4.56% Li2O
  • Dyke #01: 1.75% Li2O
  • Dyke #06: 1.47% Li2O
  • Dyke #02: 1.43% Li2O

The discovery of Dyke #06, hidden under dense vegetation and forming a prominent east-west lying ridge, highlights the untapped potential of the Trieste Lithium Project. The impressive visual spodumene crystals, some up to 1.4 meters in length, further underscore the high-grade nature of these deposits.

Loyal Lithium's approach integrates these latest rock chip assay results with advanced LiDAR and Aeromagnetic data. This strategy aims to deepen the understanding of the fertile metasediment host zone, strategically located between the Trieste Greenstone Belt and the southern Tilly Granitoid intrusion. This comprehensive analysis is expected to reveal further insights into the project's extensive mineralization potential.

With a strong financial position, boasting $9.6 million in cash reserves, Loyal Lithium is well-equipped to conduct extensive drilling programs across all known spodumene bearing pegmatite dykes during the upcoming Canadian winter. This robust financial backing ensures that the company can continue to explore and expand its lithium resources effectively.

Loyal Lithium Limited remains committed to advancing its Trieste Lithium Project, contributing significantly to the growing lithium market, which is crucial for the renewable energy sector. The discovery of Dyke #06 is a testament to the company's dedication to exploration excellence and sustainable resource development.

Loyal Lithium’s Managing Director, Mr. Adam Ritchie, commented:

"Over the last four months, our team has successfully transitioned the Trieste Lithium Project from a highly prospective greenfield initiative to a project characterised by a significant abundance of confirmed lithium mineralisation, both at surface and at depth.”

“The discovery of Dyke #06 illustrates the scale of this metasediment zone and the potential for further concealed discoveries. While our initial focus is the six prominent spodumene-bearing pegmatite dykes, our overarching goal is to efficiently locate the main feeder zones responsible for the uniquely large and abundant spodumene crystals observed at surface.”

“We have gathered an extensive amount of data over the summer – airborne, surface and subsurface – and this information provides us with an opportunity to take a more holistic view of this exciting project, guiding our drilling program this upcoming Canadian winter.”
