Recall of Summer Berry Mince Pies (NSW only)

Friday, 22 December 2023: As a precaution, Woolworths is recalling a specific batch of its Shortcrust Summer Berry Mince Pies 6-pack 360g (199655) sold in NSW Woolworths and Metro stores only, from 29 November onwards. Only the batch marked Best Before 13/06/2024 of the Summer Berry variety is affected. This is one of several varieties of fruit mince pies sold by Woolworths and no other fruit mince pies are affected.

Woolworths is recalling Shortcrust Summer Berry Mince Pies 360g as a precaution due to potential metal contamination. Woolworths has not received any complaints from customers across Australia regarding this product.  

This recall affects a total of 560 packets sold. Woolworths encourages customers to check the specific variety of Woolworths fruit mince pies in their cupboard and only respond to the recall if it is labelled “Summer Berry” with a best before date of “BB 13/06/2024”. 

Customers should avoid consuming the affected product and return it to their nearest Woolworths Supermarket or Metro store for a full refund.

No other products or batches are affected by this recall. In particular, the regular variety of Woolworths Fruit Mince Pies (not labelled “Summer Berry”) is unaffected and remains safe to consume.

Woolworths takes product safety seriously and apologises for any inconvenience caused by this recall. Customers can call the toll-free customer service number for more information on 1800 103 515.
