New Victorian State Director appointed

Australia Red Cross is pleased to announce the appointment of new Victorian State Director, Ms Nichola Krey.

 Ms Krey brings a wealth of experience from an extensive career in both the not-for-profit sector and government, leading diverse teams in complex development, disaster, emergency and recovery contexts.

Most recently, Ms Krey held Director roles across engagement and rapid response at the Department of Health Victoria, including during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Prior to this, Ms Krey held senior roles across the humanitarian sector, including as Regional Director of Programmes in the Middle East for the Norwegian Refugee Council, Humanitarian Director and Country Director in Vanuatu for Save the Children, and Middle East Regional Director and Country Director at Austcare (ActionAid) Australia in Indonesia and The West Bank.

She has also spent time consulting for the Aboriginal Health Worker Association and as a Residential Care Working for People with Disability at the NSW Department of Community Services.

With aspirations to continue serving Victorians and working with diverse communities, Ms Krey said she was thrilled to be joining Australian Red Cross.

“My work with diverse communities throughout my career has only strengthened my resolve to continue serving Victorians and work alongside the vibrant community we have here in the state."

Ms Krey will commence her new role on Tuesday 23 January 2024.
