Spectacular High Grade Channel Assay Results at Trieste Lithium Project, James Bay, Quebec, Canada

Jane Morgan Management 2 mins read

Loyal Lithium Limited (ASX: LLI) ("Loyal Lithium" or "the Company") is thrilled to announce the receipt of high-grade channel assay results from the 2023 summer field program at the Trieste Lithium Project in James Bay, Quebec, Canada. These results further substantiate the Company's recent high-grade rock chip assay findings and demonstrate a significant lithium presence across the sampled dykes.

Highlights of the Channel Assay Results:

  • Outstanding Lithium Grades: Channel samples collected from three of the six spodumene-bearing pegmatite dykes revealed impressive lithium oxide (Li2O) concentrations.

  • Dyke #01: TR23CH-002 showed 11.5 meters at 1.72% Li2O, including 2.5 meters at 2.31% Li2O and 3.6 meters at 2.03% Li2O.

  • Dyke #01: TR23CH-001 indicated 7.4 meters at 1.99% Li2O, including 1.9 meters at 3.63% Li2O and 2.0 meters at 2.25% Li2O.

  • Dyke #01: TR23CH-003 presented 5.0 meters at 2.39% Li2O, including 3.5 meters at 3.16% Li2O.

  • Dyke #04: TR23CH-004 showed 21.0 meters at 1.01% Li2O, including peaks of 1.0 meter at 5.44% Li2O and 1.0 meter at 4.82% Li2O.

  • Dyke #05: TR23CH-005 revealed 12.0 meters at 0.62% Li2O, including 2.0 meters at 2.16% Li2O.

Advancing the Trieste Lithium Project:

  • Strong Capital Position: Loyal Lithium is well-funded with $9.6 million in cash, poised to advance the upcoming drilling program this Canadian winter.

  • Comprehensive Data Integration: The channel and rock chip results are being synergized with LiDAR, aeromagnetic, and mapping data to fully exploit the potential of the fertile metasediment host zone between the Trieste Greenstone Belt and the southern Tilly granitoid.

  • Promising Location: The Trieste Lithium Project is strategically positioned 10 km east of Winsome Resources' Adina-Jamar project, with a JORC Inferred Mineral Resource Estimate of 59 Mt at 1.12% Li2O.

A Word from the Managing Director, Mr. Adam Ritchie:

"The Trieste greenstone is rapidly evolving, with five distinct spodumene discoveries now documented, including Winsome Resources' recently announced maiden Mineral Resource Estimate of 59 Mt at 1.12% Li2O at the Adina-Jamar Project, located just 10 km west of Loyal Lithium’s Trieste Lithium Project."

"We firmly believe that understanding and maximizing the advantages of the metasediment host zone will distinguish the Trieste Lithium Project above other James Bay Lithium Projects. The potential mining and processing advantages could position Trieste as a low-cost producer, and we are eager to involve our loyal investors in this educational journey."

"With the Dyke #01 drilling assay results due in January, we are excited about unlocking the unique metasediment host zone of the Trieste Lithium Project in 2024."
