CDC NSW 2 mins read

21 February 2024: SYDNEY: CDC NSW is proud to announce the launch of the 'Ride with Pride' bus, a vibrant and inclusive initiative aimed at celebrating diversity and promoting inclusivity within our community.

The 'Ride with Pride' bus is not just a mode of transportation; it's a moving symbol of acceptance, equality, and unity. Adorned with rainbow colours, the bus serves as a visible representation of our commitment to embracing people of all backgrounds, identities, and orientations.

"We are thrilled to introduce the 'Ride with Pride' bus to our community for the second year running," said CEO of CDC NSW, David Mead.

“At CDC we are very focused on ensuring that our values, actions, initiatives and programs reflect the communities in which we operate. Our buses are such a visible part of the community that they provide us a very visible opportunity to enforce the important message of respect, understanding and acceptance”.

The 'Ride with Pride' bus will serve routes throughout Sydney, providing residents and visitors alike with an opportunity to experience a journey that celebrates diversity and fosters a sense of belonging. Passengers will be welcomed into a safe and inclusive environment where they can travel with pride.

"We believe that everyone deserves to feel accepted and valued for who they are. The 'Ride with Pride' bus sends a powerful message of solidarity and acceptance, reminding us all that diversity is our strength."

The launch of the 'Ride with Pride' bus coincides with several LGBTQI+ events being held in New South Wales including the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.

The bus artwork was designed by Transit Graphics and captures the Diversity and Inclusion policy spirit.

The bus is available for charter until mid-March 2024 by contacting charters@cdcnsw.com.au
