The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Shepparton is holding it’s Annual Ramadan Iftar Dinner and Interfaith Symposium called “Fasting in My Religion” on Saturday, 16 March 2024 at 6:30 PM.
Various Faith leaders and council members from across Shepparton will gather and speak on the topic of fasting from their religious practices. The keynote speaker will be local Imam of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Imam Atif Ahmed Zahid.
Talking about this auspicious occasion, Imam Atif states,
“Ramadan is a blessed month. It is a time for prayers, self reflection and charity. Fasting is a common theme found amongst all the major religions of the world and it provides an opportunity to unite and understand our common values. I would welcome all to join us to break bread together and embrace the unity in our diverse faiths."
The event will be followed by a complimentary Iftar Dinner and members from the community are invited to attend the event.
