Get ready for the ride of a lifetime!  Legendary Melbourne Cup winning jockey Glen Boss, along with some of Australia’s biggest larrikins are hitting the road for an epic campervan adventure right around Australia.  Bossy’s Bucket List is a six-part series premiering on Saturday 2nd March on 7mate or watch anytime on 7plus.

Bossy is joined by high-profile guests, AFL legend Campbell Brown, Bossy’s favourite Irishman and AFL great Tahdg Kennelly, comedian Lawrence ‘The Moon Man’ Mooney and former rugby league footballer Mick ‘Croc’ Crocker who he calls “lifetime mates” after the road trip together.

Ticking items off their bucket list as they go, each episode features a much-loved horse racing event – from remote grassroots country tracks to spectacular city carnivals.

In the upcoming television series, Bossy reunites with the legendary mare who forever changed his life, “Makybe Diva”, on whom Bossy won three consecutive Melbourne Cups.  There wasn’t a dry eye when they were reunited in this special moment.

The spectacular locations encompass a journey to the heart of the Outback, visiting the capital and the location of the Alice Springs Cup.  Next, the journey leads to the Victorian town of Casterton, followed by an exciting Tasmanian adventure showcasing the thrill of race day at Elwick. The adventure continues with a stop at Nyngan for the Duck Creek Picnic Races and onward to the eastern wheatbelt of Western Australia eventually arriving at the charming country town of Kulin.

Along the way, they meet the people, horses and communities that underpin the sport.

The fun-packed adventure showcases mateship, local culture across the country and visits the remote parts of Australia Bossy was unable to explore during his extraordinary racing career.

Glen Boss said the series came about from his longtime desire to give back to racing.

“I was thinking about this for quite some time before I retired and I’d really like to give back to the industry, an industry which has given me basically everything,” Boss said.

Hailing from the country originally, Boss wanted to do so by showcasing some of the best and most unique regional racing in the country.

“Not just the professional racing, but the picnics and the real heart and soul of the industry”, he added.

Bossy’s Bucket List is a Ladbrokes Production and will air on 7mate on Saturday 2nd March at 1.30pm weekly or watch anytime on 7plus.

The second season of Bossy’s Bucket List is currently in production.
