Latin Resources Limited (ASX: LRS) (“Latin” or the “Company”), a leading exploration and development company, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Aaron Maurer as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective immediately. This strategic hire marks a significant milestone in Latin’s journey towards becoming a frontrunner in the mining industry, particularly in the lithium sector.

Aaron Maurer, a seasoned professional with an illustrious career in the mining industry, brings to Latin a wealth of experience, particularly in lithium operations. His track record of success includes over five years at Mineral Resources Limited, where he excelled as Executive General Manager - Operations. In this role, Aaron was instrumental in overseeing the Mt Marion Lithium mine and three Iron Ore operations, significantly contributing to the development of a high-performance culture and leading substantial capital investment and production growth initiatives.

Before joining Latin Resources, Aaron served as the Head of Operations at Atlantic Lithium, where he played a crucial role in transitioning the company from exploration to a near-term producer. His leadership was pivotal in overseeing the approvals and operational readiness of Ghana’s first lithium mine, establishing Atlantic Lithium as a pioneering force in the region.

Aaron’s extensive background also includes leadership positions at PVW Resources NL, Sydvaranger Gruve AS in Norway, Peabody Energy Australia, BHP Billiton, and Thiess. His experience across various continents and commodities has equipped him with a deep understanding of operations management and strategic leadership, making him an invaluable asset to the Latin Resources team.
