International Cake Show Australia to bring the stars and the sweetness to Brisbane from April 12 to 14:

From April 12 to 14, Brisbane will be home to the world’s leading edible cake artists and decorators for the 2024 International Cake Show Australia!

There’ll be a spooky Sugar House of Horror, Barbie Cakes, Australian and International Cake Artist Superstars, Life-Sized Bumblebee Transformer, Cookie Titans, Floriade Market,

a Haute Couture Wedding Cake Challenge set by star wedding dress designer George Wu, and record entries!

Now at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, the International Cake Show Australia is Australia's huge cake and cookie decorating, baking and sugar art show; think edible art gallery meets Willy Wonka’s famous factory, a food festival, culinary college and shoppers paradise all in one!  This year there’s over 100 free demonstrations, celebrity chefs and sugar heroes, unbelievable huge sugar features, hands-on workshops, classes to suit every experience level, Australia’s largest cake and cookie decorating competition (and you’re invited to enter), pop up shops and more! Most activities except the paid classes, are free with the ticket entry and children 12 and under are free. Here’s WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW AND DO!

  3. Win their heart with sweet treats. Chocolates, macarons, cakes, cupcakes, donuts, overloaded cookies or brownies, the choice is endless.
  4. Share a sweet-as experience - do a mini make and take class together!
  5. Record the date – snuggle up for a photo in front of one of the unbelievable huge sugar features.  
  6. Chill at the competition zone - it's a cross between an edible art gallery, a culinary museum and a Willy Wonka factory! 
  7. Um….. if you're really loved up, visit the Bridal Zone or the Haute Couture Marquee. 
  8. Say hello and grab a selfie with one of the many celebrity chefs and sugar heroes.

  3. Do one of the many hands-on 1 hour Make and Take mini classes. You'll learn the basics from a professional. 
  4. Want a once in a lifetime experience? Book into one of the fun full day hands-on workshops. All the tools, and ingredients are supplied. Each element is taught step by step. 
  5. Get involved with the community build on the World of Cake stand. They'll teach you how to decorate a cookie, then add it to the cookie tower. 
  6. There's more than 100 free demonstrations being held at the show, so there's lots of baking and decorating learning opportunities.
