Media are invited to the announcement of the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers’ 75th anniversary program - to share cake,  and meet the first ever Carnival Queen, the amazing Fay Claydon, TODAY, THURSDAY MARCH 28 at 10am.

 

Hosted by Toowoomba Regional Council Mayor Geoff McDonald, the program reveal will be held outside the Library in the city heart, with key memorabilia on display, a stunning giant cake worthy of 75 petal-filled years and as a very special touch, the inaugural ‘Queen of the Carnival of Flowers’ from 1950, Fay Clayden (nee Ryan) will make the trip from Brisbane.

 

Of course, it’s been just two weeks since Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers was crowned the best event in the nation at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards!
