Torrens University and Xaana.AI: shaping the future of AI education together

An exciting new strategic collaboration between Torrens University Australia and Xaana.ai aims to create dynamic learning environments that reflect the rapidly evolving field of AI. 

Xaana.ai is an Australian owned and based firm specialising in cutting edge AI and quantum developments who work across Australian Government and Defence agencies as well as large enterprise organisations helping them explore opportunities to accelerate and improve decision making and extract intelligence from data, pairing human expertise with AI. 

Torrens University’s Chief Marketing Officer and head of Industry Partnerships Darryn Melrose said Torrens University and Xaana.ai would work together on the co-development of subjects that aligned with the latest advancements in artificial intelligence. 

“We are so excited about this collaboration and the opportunities it presents for both organisations. Importantly, it aligns with our commitment to provide our students with industry-relevant education and practical experience as part of their studies,” Mr Melrose said. 

“It opens up possibilities for our students to excel in the rapidly evolving field of artificial intelligence, as we welcome the industry experts from Xaana.ai into our classrooms to engage with our students through guest lectures and workshops, providing unique insights into the practical applications of AI and sharing real-world challenges and solutions.” 

Matt Andrews from Xaana.ai said both Torrens University and Xaana AI were committed to nurturing the next generation of AI professionals and driving advancements in the field.

‘Staggering’: ANU cuts more jobs while asking staff to take pay cut

The National Tertiary Education Union (NTEU) has slammed Australian National University’s bid to cut pay while announcing more job losses.
