Aurumin Limited (ASX: AUN) – DRILLING COMMENCED AT SANDSTONE

Aurumin Limited (ASX: AUN) 2 mins read

Perth, Australia – Aurumin Limited (ASX: AUN), an ASX-listed mineral exploration Company, is thrilled to announce the initiation of an extensive drilling campaign at its wholly owned Central Sandstone Project, marking a significant step forward in the exploration and development of its Sandstone Operations. Located 520km northeast of Perth, the Central Sandstone Project boasts an impressive 881koz Au, contributing to the company's total Resource of 946koz Au across its Sandstone Operations, which also include the Birrigrin and Johnson Range Projects.

This ambitious drilling program is set to test up to nine new open pit targets, with plans to drill approximately 40 holes spanning 4,000 meters. The Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling campaign is a first pass exploration effort, following up on promising geochemical and structural targeting. Aurumin's exploration strategy is comprehensive, aiming to investigate multiple depositional models and styles of mineralisation, including porphyry/intrusive hosted vein styles, banded iron formations, and structural shear styles hosted in mafic and ultramafic units.

A significant advantage of the targeted areas is their location on mining leases, all within a 3km radius of the existing processing plant footprint. This strategic positioning underscores the company's commitment to efficient and cost-effective exploration, with the potential for rapid development upon successful discovery.

Aurumin's Managing Director, Brad Valiukas, commented: “Following recent corporate activity where we have divested the Mt Dimer Mining Tenements, cleared the remaining balance of the Convertible Note, successfully raised capital for drilling and repositioned the Company for growth, we are excited to be back on the ground and drilling these outstanding targets.

“We are investing into our flagship 946koz Sandstone Gold Operations and this work aligns directly with our focus on the Central Sandstone Project and generating the critical mass required for future production, starting with open pits.”
