PERTH, AUSTRALIA – April 15, 2024 – Intra Energy Corporation Limited (ASX: IEC), a leading environmentally responsible mining and energy group, is pleased to announce the receipt of compelling lithium, tantalum, niobium, caesium, and tin assays from rock chip sampling conducted at the Maggie Hays Hill (“MHH”) project.
The latest round of sampling, completed over the most prospective section of outcropping pegmatites, has yielded results that significantly enhance the project's lithium prospectivity. Noteworthy findings include:
-
Averaged lithium (Li2O) assays of 503 ppm, underscoring the presence of lithium-rich pegmatites.
-
Encouraging caesium and tantalum values, with average assays of 139 ppm and 107 ppm respectively, indicating the potential for multiple mineralization targets.
-
Strong correlations with spodumene mineralisation, reinforcing the project's attractiveness for lithium exploration.
-
These results validate IEC's exploration strategy and underscore the company's commitment to unlocking significant value for shareholders in the burgeoning lithium market.
Mr. Benjamin Dunn, Managing Director of Intra Energy Corporation, commented, “We are very pleased that these results have confirmed, not only compelling lithium targets, but also anomalous levels of the key pathfinder elements used to identify lithium targets. The caesium results are eye opening and could be another opportunity for exploration success. We are looking forward to testing these targets as soon as possible, and believe they have every chance of delivering significant shareholder joy. Coupled with the recent announcement by MinRes, that they are building a lithium processing hub on the adjacent property, we are possibly the best value lithium explorer on the ASX”.
The next phase of exploration at the MHH project will include a first-pass RC drilling program slated for the June quarter, subject to timely heritage and regulatory approvals. This drilling campaign aims to validate and expand upon the highly prospective targets identified through rock chip sampling, with a focus on delineating spodumene-rich zones and unlocking the project's full value potential.
Furthermore, the adjacency of the MHH project to Mineral Resources Limited's (ASX: MRL) recently acquired lithium processing hub presents a strategic advantage for IEC. Leveraging this proximity, IEC aims to streamline project development and maximize shareholder returns by capitalizing on the region's burgeoning lithium processing infrastructure.
