What: National Tertiary Education Union members, other staff members, students, and community members will protest at FedUni’s major Victorian campuses next week, calling on the Vice Chancellor to stop the devastating cuts proposed for the university. 

 

Who: NTEU Federation University Branch President Mathew Abbott, union members, students, and community supporters will speak and are available for interviews, filming and photos.

 

Where and when:

 

Tuesday April 30, 1200pm: Berwick campus (outside building 901)

Wednesday May 1, 1200pm: Churchill campus (at the knuckle)

Thursday May 2, 1200pm: Mt Helen campus (main quad, next to library)

2024 Federal Budget’s Apprentice & Trainee Incentives Welcome

The 2024 Federal Budget’s investment to support the employment of more apprentices and trainees has been welcomed by the Independent Tertiary Education Council Australia (ITECA), the peak body representing independent skills training, higher education, and international education providers. The Australian Government is providing an additional $265.1 million over four years in financial support for apprentices and their employers.
