Nominations now open for the Engineers Australia Excellence Awards

Nominations are now open for Australia’s most prestigious engineering awards.

 

The Engineers Australia Excellence Awards recognise the achievements of the engineering professionals and cutting-edge engineering projects driving Australia forward.

 

“For over one hundred years our Excellence Awards have united the engineering sector in celebrating its most significant accomplishments. It is these individuals and endeavors that break new ground, changing how we see the world, live our lives, work, and think creatively," said Engineers Australia CEO Romilly Madew AO.

 

Local winners will be selected at local celebration events in September. These winners will represent their division as finalists at the national gala in Brisbane on 21 November.

Award categories

Projects awards recognise Australia’s top engineering projects and the teams behind them. It inspires and encourages engineering distinction through teamwork, innovation, and technical excellence.

Emerging engineer of the year awards recognise outstanding early career engineers who show innovation and resourcefulness in their work.

Engineer of the year awards recognise the outstanding work of engineering professionals who embody the highest technical, professional and community service standards in engineering.

Achievement awards recognise the important engineering achievements of individuals at all career stages and across Engineers Australia’s colleges and engineering communities.

Distinguished career awards recognise the conspicuous service of individuals who have given longstanding and prominent service to the profession.

 

Winners will join the long line of engineers who’ve been celebrated for excellence over the award’s 100+ year history, and receive:

  • Tickets to attend awards events.  
  • A profile in the awards showcase publication.  
  • Ongoing recognition through Engineers Australia Excellence Awards promotion.   
  • Discounts for events and professional development opportunities.  
  • The opportunity to present at local Engineers Australia events.

Project awards nominations close: 31 May
People awards nominations close: 2 July
Local winner announcement events: 12–19 Sep
