Melbourne-based domestic building company Plumbstruct Industries has been selected as Victoria’s only finalist in the prestigious Australian Small Business Champion Awards.

These awards honour the passionate and dedicated companies that help form the backbone of the Australian economy. They seek to recognise the hard work that business owners contribute to the local community in generating employment for millions of Australians, as well as their contribution to the Australian economy. With over 5500 entrants in the National Awards, the competition is fierce.

In 2024, Directors Shane and Lara Denes and the team are delighted to be named as finalists in the biggest awards-based event for businesses in Australia. A family-owned and operated business based in Melbourne, Plumbstruct Industries is now in its tenth year of providing support, innovative solutions and design inspiration to new home builds and renovation projects.

With over 30 years of experience in the often volatile trades industry, being named a finalist is extra special according to Shane, “In an industry where mates are going broke every day, it's hard to remain positive at times, so we're pretty stoked that we are the only business from Victoria to have made the list in the Builder & Renovations category.”

Plumbstruct Industries offers a comprehensive service portfolio, providing its own carpenters, plumbers and plasterers without relying on subcontractors. “As a result of our decision to go ‘all in’, our clients feel much more comfortable about their finished product. There is always a long waiting list for our services because people know they can have faith in our team and the results we deliver.” Shane says

Plumbstruct Industries has reached national award finalist status due to its commitment to supporting the local community as well as newcomers to the industry. “We are proud to employ and develop apprentices, and we take the time to give back by contributing to scholarships, volunteering and supporting local community organisations,” says Shane.

This accolade has come from years of hard work and a commitment to providing well-rounded services that set them apart from the competition. It’s an achievement that would not have been possible without the dedication and hard work of their team, as well as the unwavering support of clients and partners putting their trust in Shane and his team.

Shane adds, “The criteria for the Australian Small Business Champion Awards are notoriously tough and we are proud to qualify as finalists. We are looking forward to taking the boys along to the awards night in Sydney to celebrate their hard work and determination that has helped make our business the success that it is.”
