Sleep in a hand built Drover's Wagon, or Glamp with the Clydesdales this June in the Scenic Rim!

WHERE TO STAY FOR THE  Scenic Rim Clydesdale Spectacular: June 14, 15 & 16

You can’t sleep in a saddle but you can stay in an authentic, hand-built Drover’s Wagonor Glamp with the Clydesdales at this year’s Scenic Rim Clydesdale Spectacular in June, the richest Clydesdale Show in the Southern Hemisphere.

From tiny Shetland ponies to the towering Shire horses, all Clydesdales great and small will take over the Boonah Showgrounds over the weekend of June 15 and 16. Now in its 12th year, a full schedule of Clydesdale competition will take place as well as rare trades showcased including harness making, blacksmithing, wheelwrights, horse-drawn demonstrations & driving displays, whip plaiting and more.

In huge and exciting news, Andy Scott, the Scottish figurative sculptor who created the world famous The Kelpies in Falkirk, Scotland, the two huge iconic Clydesdale heads that are the largest equine sculptures in the world and a man-made wonder, will attend the event. Andy is also the creator of Clydebuilt,  the landmark metal Clydesdale statue that sits proudly in the centre of the township of Boonah.

HERE’S WHERE TO STAY for the SCENIC RIM CLYDESDALE SPECTACULAR

The Drover's Wagon

This is the most exclusive accommodation at the Clydesdale Spectacular, in fact, probably at any event anywhere! Hand-built by Wheelwright and master craftsman Rick Stanfield in the Boonah Butter Factory, The Drover’s Wagon features a luxe queen size bed, a small table and chairs, exquisite fixtures and fittings, crockery and glassware.

The stay package includes 2 nights for 2 people, 2 adult weekend passes, 2 tickets to “An Evening with the Clydesdales” on 14th June at 4pm sharp, a bottle of bubbles and a platter of nibbles, with check in any time on Friday 14th June – PRICE $650.00.

Glamping with the Clydesdales

Another unique experience, this time in large, bell shaped glamping tents, which offer a beautifully styled stay. All the hard work has been done; all you need to do is arrive! Inclusive of a Queen bed with all linen, side table, lighting, throw cushions, chair, enamel cups, and atmosphere decoration, it’s best to bring an extra warm blanket (it does get cold in Boonah), torch and a towel. Note the glamping tents do not have power and water and are a short walk to toilets and showers.

  • Glamping for TWO - $ 595 and includes 2 nights (Fri & Sat), 2 adult weekend passes, 2 Tickets to “An Evening with the Clydesdales” on Friday 14th June at 4pm sharp, with check-in after 12pm on Friday 14th June.
