Dr Emma Buxton-Namisnyk
Dr Buxton-Namisnyk has analysed more than 3000 domestic violence homicide cases in Australia.
She has been enlisted by the NSW Government to build a comprehensive risk-assessment framework to help ensure that victim-survivors receive a consistent, appropriate and safe response wherever they present.
Dr Buxton-Namisnyk is available for comment on recent events regarding family and domestic violence, including today's NSW Government media release: $230 million to improve NSW domestic violence prevention and support.

Dr Emma Buxton-Namisnyk is a lecturer at UNSW Law & Justice. Her award-winning research focuses on the intersection of criminology and international human rights law, particularly regarding domestic and family violence and sexual violence responses (including policing and specialist service responses), state responsibilities and intersecting rights.
