Farmer Wants a Wife’s Todd and Daisy: ‘We’ve already chosen our baby’s name!’

FWAW’s most controversial couple tells New Idea that the critics haven’t stopped them falling in love and planning a family

They’ve been hailed as the most mismatched lovers since Tay Tay and Jake Gyllenhaal but for Farmer Wants a Wife stars Todd Melbourne and Daisy Lamb, the naysayers can take a hike!

In an exclusive interview with this week’s New Idea, the loved-up twosome have sensationally revealed that, despite a barrage of social media negativity and opposition from their own friends and families, they’re very much still together and already planning marriage and babies!

“Things are going so well,” grins Daisy, 27, speaking exclusively from Todd’s farm in Baan Baa, NSW where the romantic pair have made their home. “I think I was pretty smitten with him from the very get-go.

“Hopefully in the next 12 to 18 months, we’ll start to think about marriage. There’s definitely kids in the future. We actually sat down last week and went through kids’ names - which ones we did and didn’t like!”

Their mutual passion has survived despite just about everyone, including Todd’s family, friends and a legion of armchair fans on social media, arguing that the 33-year-old lonely farmer should instead have picked his second choice, school teacher Grace.

But Todd’s life is about to get a whole lot less lonely if their plans for the future come true.

“The moment I walk in the door and Daisy’s there smiling at me makes my day,” Todd says. “Waking up next to someone is nowhere near as lonely as what it has been. We both want to start a family. Definitely, marriage, kids, all of that’s on the cards.”

In the wide-ranging interview, Todd and Daisy reveal:

  • The strain of a long-distance relationship, and where they’re planning to settle down together.
  • The surprising thing that Daisy loves most about Todd.
  • Her verdict on his cooking skills.
  • Daisy’s plan for a new career.

The magazine also features a stunning set of exclusive pictures taken around the beautiful farm where they’ve made their love nest.
