GMHBA has today announced it has appointed the builder for its multidisciplinary hub being built on the ground floor of its head office building in Geelong.

McCormack, one of Australia’s leading family-owned building services companies, was selected to bring the project to life after a competitive tender process, and chosen because of their focus on quality, dedication to achieving high industry standards and collaborative approach.

The Geelong Hub, due to open in August, will bring together private health insurance, dental, eye care, medical and physiotherapy services under the one roof. It will be open to all members of the community, not just those insured with GMHBA, helping to meet growing demand for primary and allied health services in the Geelong region.

GMHBA CEO David Greig said the modern facility would breathe life into Moorabool Street and deliver an exceptional experience to members and patients.

“We are delighted to have signed the contract with McCormack to bring this vision to life,” he said.

“As GMHBA celebrates its 90th Anniversary this year, we continue put our members first and ensure we offer them high quality care, particularly as we see increased demand for health services in the Geelong region.

We look forward to opening the doors in August and celebrating with the community.”

The integrated facility will occupy the entire ground floor of the 60 Moorabool Street building, stretching over 783 m2 of commercial space. GMHBA’s head office staff currently occupy three levels of the building, supporting member and operational activities.

“We are excited to team up with GMHBA in bringing this exceptional healthcare facility to life in Geelong,” McCormack Director Lauren McCormack said.

“We're committed to delivering a quality healthcare hub that serves the community's needs and brings together top-tier medical services for the region.”
