Intra Energy Corporation Limited (ASX: IEC) – Maggie Hays Hill Program of Work Approved Drilling Scheduled to Commence in June

Intra Energy Corporation Limited (ASX: IEC) 2 mins read

Sydney, Australia – May 27, 2024 – Intra Energy Corporation (ASX: IEC), a leading explorer in the field of battery, base, and precious metals, is pleased to announce the approval of the Program of Work (POW) by the Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DEMIRS). This significant milestone paves the way for the commencement of a robust drilling program at the Maggie Hays Hill (MHH) project, located in the mineral-rich Lake Johnston Greenstone Belt, Western Australia.

Project Highlights:

  • The approved exploration POW includes approximately 2,500 metres of Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling targeting lithium, tantalum, niobium, and caesium-rich pegmatites and high-grade gold-bearing quartz reefs.
  • The pegmatite targets, up to 50 metres wide and outcropping along a 2.5km contact zone, display highly anomalous concentrations of lithium, tantalum, niobium, and caesium, indicative of environments suitable for spodumene crystallization.
  • The gold targets include multiple outcropping quartz reefs, up to four meters wide, with rock chip samples returning up to 17 g/t gold.

Upcoming Activities:

  • A heritage survey with the Ngadju Community is scheduled for May 30, 2024.
  • Track clearing and preparation are set for early June, with drilling operations expected to commence in mid-June.

Managing Director, Benjamin Dunn commented:

“We have been looking forward to receiving this key approval which brings us a step closer to drilling at Maggie Hays Hills. Exploration to date has identified multiple compelling outcropping lithium pegmatite and gold in quartz reef, targets that have scale potential. We are working closely with the Ngadju Native Title Group to expedite the necessary heritage clearance to allow drilling to commence. The survey is scheduled for late May, and subject to that clearance, drilling is expected to commence in mid-June. A further announcement will follow once heritage clearance is confirmed.”
