Kingswim Launches Expanded Adult Learn to Swim Program in Response to Rising Demand

Kingswim Adult Program

Understanding the growing needs of modern parents, Kingswim, Australia's trusted family swim school, is delighted to unveil its innovative revamp of the Adult Learn to Swim lessons. This brand-new initiative includes three new stages, curated to accommodate various skill sets and is available at all swim centres around Australia.

In the 2022-2023 year, 57% of Australian drowning deaths were those over the age of 45 years[1]. Recognising the need for more adults to have essential water safety skills, Kingswim Australia is making sure adults have easy access to learn to swim programs, filling a desperately needed gap in the swimming community.

Whether you are a beginner looking to conquer the fear of water or an experienced swimmer striving to refine your technique, the revamped program offers tailored instruction to suit all skill levels.

"Every week, we're hearing from more adults who wish they could learn the same skills their children are gaining but find it hard to locate swim classes tailored for adults. Water safety is an essential life skill for everyone, no matter your age, so we are excited to launch our adult-centred lessons with a new approach. Designed for Aussies who want to be safer in and around water and get better at swimming, our new Adult Program reflects our commitment to offering inclusive and innovative lessons for the whole family," said Anne Brown, Area Manager.

The program includes three new levels:

  1. Introduction to water: specifically designed for individuals seeking to build water confidence and learn essential water safety skills.
  2. Beginner: designed for adults who are comfortable in the water but have limited swimming experience.
  3. Intermediate and advanced: the combined intermediate and advanced swim classes cater to a diverse range of adults seeking to enhance their swimming abilities. Designed for those who can confidently perform basic freestyle and backstroke, this level is perfect for individuals looking to refine their technique, increase endurance, and prepare for more challenging activities, including introductory breaststroke.

Whether you're aspiring to improve your skills, train for competitions, or engage in specialised aquatic activities, the lessons are tailored to help you meet your goals.

The relaunched program offers a friendly and supportive group environment where you can get personalised lessons for 45 minutes. Adults can enjoy a full-body workout that improves cardiovascular health and flexibility without joint stress. Plus, it's a wonderful way to unwind, lower stress, meet new friends, and feel part of a welcoming community.

Enrolment for Kingswim’s Adult Learn to Swim program is now open. To enquire today, visit kingswim.com.au/adults.
