Litchfield Minerals Limited (ASX:LMS) – Silver King Copper Prospect at Mt Doreen Enters Drilling Phase

Litchfield Minerals Limited (ASX:LMS) < 1 mins read

Mount Doreen, NT - Litchfield Minerals Limited (ASX: LMS), an ASX listed critical mineral exploration Compan, is excited to announce the commencement of drilling activities at the Silver King Copper Prospect, located within the Mount Doreen tenement, Northern Territory. This marks a significant milestone in the company's strategic focus on copper and other critical minerals.

The drilling operation follows a detailed Induced Polarisation (IP) survey completed in May 2023, which identified a promising chargeable zone suggesting a substantial copper-bearing structure at depth. The current drilling campaign aims to test these findings with a combination of Reverse Circulation (RC) and Diamond drilling methods.

Matthew Pustahya, Managing Director commented: "We are thrilled to announce that we are ready to initiate drilling at the Silver King site with a four-hole drilling campaign, planned, and two additional contingency holes”.

Key highlights of the drilling campaign include:

  • Commencement of a planned four-hole drilling operation, with two additional contingency holes.
  • Utilization of advanced RC/Diamond drilling technology to explore the identified sub-vertical, pipe-like structure.
  • The prospect of extending our understanding of the mineralisation at depth, building on historical mining activities and recent geophysical data.

The Silver King prospect is characterized by its history of copper, lead, and silver mineralization, and is strategically significant for Litchfield Minerals’ exploration portfolio. The region, historically known for its mining activities, presents a unique opportunity to uncover further mineral resources.
