National Windscreens Takes First Step in Growth Phase

National Windscreens 2 mins read

After revealing its change of ownership structure with private equity firm Nash Capital in March, Australia’s largest independent automotive auto glass and ADAS services company, National Windscreens, has today delivered on its promised growth strategy by announcing the acquisition of Darwin’s Top End Windscreens & Tinting.

This strategic and full acquisition of Top End Windscreens & Tinting underpins the company’s commitment to building out corporate owned branches nationally.

“We made a very clear statement when we announced our plans for the future in March that growth, through increasing our company owned branch network, was our number one priority.  The acquisition of Top End Windscreens & Tinting represents the first step in this process and there will be other announcements shortly,” said Group CEO, Campbell Jones.

“We are moving fast at National Windscreens.  There’s a lot of immediate opportunity for us to build an even stronger national network and sitting on our hands is simply not an option,” Jones added.

Top End Windscreens & Tinting was established in 2008 by former owners Craig & Hiliary Bradbury, both of which are highly respected in the industry.  Hiliary holds key roles with the Auto Glass Association (AGA) and Australian Collision Industry Alliance (ACIA).

“Craig and Hiliary have built a really good business and have much to be proud of.  They have a fabulous team and a loyal customer base. We want to congratulate them for not only what they have done in Darwin but for their tireless work in the auto glass industry.  We will be working with them over the coming weeks to ensure there is a seamless transition.”

“We’re delighted that Glenn Shaw (Branch Manager) and Katie Kalsbeek (Office Manager) will remain in the business and lead us into the future.  As we expand our network, we strongly believe that locals should deal with locals and with Glenn and Katie steering the ship, this signifies our philosophy,” Jones said further.

The branding of Top End Windscreens & Tinting will remain but according to Campbell Jones there are some significant developments in place for the branch – “We want to make a significant investment into the Darwin region by employing more people, increasing the capacity of the site and bringing state-of-the-art capabilities for our full service ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), diagnostics and calibration systems to the branch.”

“We want Top End Windscreens & Tinting to be able to provide leading auto glass repair and ADAS services for every vehicle in the region, from the smallest passenger car to the heaviest truck,” Jones concluded.
