Perth, Western Australia — Rincon Resources Limited (ASX: RCR), a ASX listed minerals explorer, is thrilled to announce the successful completion of a heritage clearance survey at its high-priority West Arunta Project, which encompasses the promising Avalon, Sheoak, K1, and K2 targets.
The completed survey, focusing primarily on the Avalon Nb-REE/IOCG target—a notable gravity anomaly akin to the significant Luni carbonatite, is a critical step forward in the company's exploration strategy. The survey facilitates the forthcoming drilling program aimed at further uncovering the potential mineral wealth beneath these grounds.
Rincon’s Managing Director, Gary Harvey said:
“I can’t thank the Tjamu Tjamu Aboriginal Corporation and the Kiwirrkurra People enough for being able to squeeze this survey into their very busy schedule. It is a testament to the strong relationship we have built with the community at Kiwirrkurra.
“Subject to the final report, this survey could allow the Company to start drilling at Avalon in several weeks’ time and if we achieve early success, allow us to keep drilling for the next 12-18 months uninterrupted.”
Rincon's rapid progression from survey to drill-ready status is partly thanks to the recent co-funding grant received under Round 29 of the Western Australian Exploration Incentive Scheme, which provides up to $180,000 for drilling at these key targets.
The company is in the final stages of planning an extensive reverse circulation (RC) and diamond core (DD) drilling program. Discussions with various drilling contractors are underway, with operations expected to commence swiftly after the final survey report is approved.
This announcement follows just weeks after a detailed ground gravity survey highlighted the Avalon target as a significant point of interest, further supported by financial backing from governmental incentives aimed at promoting resource exploration.
Rincon Resources continues to strengthen its portfolio of exploration assets in Western Australia, each representing a strategic component of the global energy transition through potential copper, gold, niobium, and rare earth elements.
About us:
Rincon has 100% interest in three exploration assets in Western Australia that are highly prospective for copper, gold, Nb, REE’s, and other critical metals required for the energy transition. These are the South Telfer Project, West Arunta Project, and the Laverton Project.
