Attention attention – we invite you to sit back, sip, taste, wine and dine with not a worry in the world. In what is the perfect hack for Scenic Rim Eat Local Month lovers, here’s SIX delicious day tours across June that have been created specifically for Eat Local Month, and in some cases, this is the ONLY WAY to attend sold out events!

 

In its 13th year and second in the month-long format (there was just too much flavour to fit in a week!), Scenic Rim Eat Local Month is Australia’s most authentic paddock-to-plate, food and farming experience and shines the light on the farmers, growers, producers, artisans, chefs and creators and the spectacular produce of the famous Scenic Rim. There’s more than 120 food events from Beaudesert to Beechmont, Kerry to Kalbar, and Mount Alford to Tamborine Mountain including 40 Long Lunches, Degustations and Dinners, 23 Workshops and Classes, 37 Tours and Experiences, 53 Meet the Producer opportunities and 50+ Family Friendly options.

The Longest Lunch - O’Reilly’s Canungra Valley Vineyards

Enjoy live music as you discover a mouth-watering local menu starring a starter, two shared platter courses and dessert along with three hours of bottomless drinks, all by the Canungra Creek boasting vineyard and mountain views. Once the taste buds are satisfied, we’ll make our way up to the top of Tamborine Mountain for an afternoon of wine and panoramic views.

Bring along a picnic rug, your shopping tote and an appetite as the morning starts at the Growers & Makers market at North Stores in Tamborine Mountain - meet local growers and food artisans, explore Tamborine Mountain’s finest local produce and enjoy the morning of market stalls, culinary delights and live music.

 

Witches Falls Winery - Wine Tasting + Tipples & Tacos + Live Music

Witches Falls Winery just down the road is next for a premium wine tasting by the vines (with the option to swap your wine for a cider tasting paddle). Enjoy a laid-back atmosphere with live music and mouth-watering tacos prepared by Scenic Rim Food Ambassador Josue Lopez. There’s 20 different drinks to choose from, including a wide selection of wines, craft beers, and hard ciders.

Tamborine Mountain Distillery - liqueur and spirit tasting

Fermented Food Festival - Summer Land Camels  

Dive headfirst into the vibrant world of food fermentation at this extraordinary event, where flavours come alive. Browse through market stalls, relish in fermented delights ranging from sourdough to wine and beer, gain insights from experts; there’s live music, time for cuddles with camels, exceptional mountain views and country fun plus an esky on the bus for your fermented goodies.

This will be truly extraordinary – a four-course meal of local flavours, breathtaking views of the Scenic Rim from the top of Mount French and wine matching. **THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT and the only way to gain tickets is through this day tour!

 

Lake Moogerah - Scenic Views & A Taste of Tamborine

End the day with breath-taking views of Moogerah Lake; toast to the day with local limoncello from Tamborine Mountain Distillery, before journeying back to Ipswich & Brisbane.

 

Tickets Include: free time at Summer Land Camels to enjoy the Fermented Food Festival, a delicious four course meal with exceptional views at Mount French Lodge, a tasting of award winning Limoncello from Tamborine Mountain Distillery, overlooking Lake Moogerah, return transport, plus snacks and water on the bus.

Scenic Rim Farm Shop & Café / Elderflower Farm:

First stop on this delicious foodie tour is the Scenic Rim Farm Shop & Café for coffee and freshly baked cake under towering 120-year-old jacaranda trees. Explore the market store before a truly sensory wander between the colourful flower beds of the adjacent Elderflower Farm.  

 

**A Locavore’s Delight - Long Lunch - Kooroomba Vineyard and Lavender Farm

After coffee and cake, it’s a 30-minute scenic drive, with views of the Scenic Rim Mountain Range and Moogerah Dam, to Kooroomba Vineyard and Lavender Farm for a fusion of farm-fresh ingredients and artisanal creations, crafted by Scenic Rim Food Ambassador Elliot Platz and his team. This six-course degustation celebrates local flavours and pays homage to Scenic Rim farmers and producers.

Bunjurgen Estate Vineyard:

To finish the day, we’ll venture to Bunjurgen Estate Vineyard to catch the sun setting over the mountain range, enjoying a wine and port tasting before heading home to Ipswich / Brisbane.

 

Tickets Include: Coffee and cake, a six-course degustation, paired wines (if you have selected this option), a short wine tasting at Bunjurgen Estate Vineyard (x 3), pick-up and drop-off service to Brisbane & Ipswich, plus snacks and water on the bus.

Scenic Rim Farm Shop & Café  - Field Kitchen

Scenic Rim Food Ambassadors, Alison Alexander and Caroline Jones host a delicious day in the countryside, starting with morning tea then produce picking in the fields, an interactive cooking demonstration, two-course lunch with wine and time to explore the garden beds at Elderflower Farm.

 

Bunjurgen Estate Vineyard:

Finish the day with a local wine and port tasting overlooking the Scenic Rim Mountain Range before heading back home to Brisbane.

 

Tickets Include: Entertaining cooking demonstrations, a two-course lunch with wine, a wine & port tasting at Bunjurgen Estate Vineyard, return transport, plus snacks and water on the bus.

Olive View Estate – Cheese Board & local limoncello

A tasting platter under the olive trees with cheese, crackers, olives and homemade relishes, accompanied with Tamborine Mountain Distillery’s famous Limoncello, then browse an abundance of produce including jams, relishes, salts, garnishes, oils & more at the ‘Farm Bus Shop’ and a quick hello to the farm animals.

 

The Progressive Paddock with Ash Martin - Scenic Rim Farm Shop & Café                      

An exceptional farm foraging experience - strolling through the paddocks to pick up fresh produce with each stop featuring a different ingredient, small dish and paired wines. The afternoon finishes under the towering jacarandas, where Scenic Rim Food Ambassador Ash Martin will prepare the main meal. All in great company with fantastic food, drinks, and live music, leaving with a full belly and a bag full of deliciously fresh produce. An incredible event - not to miss!
