After much anticipation, leading New Zealand label Rodd & Gunn is thrilled to announce its newest NSW venture with the opening of its Sydney flagship, arriving this May.

Situated within the CBD’S landmark shopping destination, Martin Place, the flagship will be housed within a heritage retail space that spans approximately 150 sqm2. The build features architectural gems that seamlessly reflect the label’s commitment to timeless collections.

The launch of the Sydney flagship marks a significant milestone for the brand, who continue to excite and elevate its innovative retail and hospitality presence across Australia and abroad. Martin Place serves as a precursor to the highly anticipated opening of Little Collins Street in Melbourne in November 2024, and further enriches the brand’s retail footprint, offering immersive experiences that blend local design with its New Zealand roots.

“We’re delighted to announce the launch of our Sydney flagship at such an iconic shopping destination. The heritage building and Victorian architecture is truly a sight to behold,” said Rodd & Gunn CEO, Mike Beagley.

For the discerning urbanite navigating the bustling streets of the CBD, Rodd & Gunn Martin Place stands as the ultimate destination for luxury and fashion. Whether you’re enjoying a weekend staycation cruising along the Darling Harbour, attending an evening dinner at The Fullerton Hotel, heading off for post-work drinks at Cabana Bar, or simply need a winter wardrobe refresh, Rodd & Gunn Martin Place has your sartorial style sorted for an effortless day to night transition.

Opening just as Sydney prepares to welcome its coldest months, the brand is delighted to also unveil its new winter drop, Beyond the Horizon, that will be showcased at the flagship. Embrace the softness of Italian denim, durability of pure leather jackets, warmth of Woolmark-certified tailored coats and the comfort of the signature Australian cotton-spun sweaters. Inspired by the windswept beauty of New Zealand’s Chatham Islands, the collection is accented by cappuccino camel browns, butter yellows and earthy greens.

Notably, the collection includes pieces made from ZQRX merino wool, setting a new ethical standard. Fully traceable back to the grower, this wool is dedicated to animal welfare, regenerative farming principles, and supporting local communities, further enhancing the brand’s commitment to responsible sourcing and production. Synonymous with quality craftsmanship and sustainability, forged over 75 years of expertise, Rodd & Gunn blends Kiwi heritage and design, backed by a two- year guarantee on all goods.

Discover a little bit of New Zealand with every step as you traverse through Rodd & Gunn Martin Place, from furnishings, artwork, and fixtures to the timeless styles of the new winter collection. The classic yet contemporary space opens late May and blends local design with the raw, pure forms of nature found in the brand’s home country, New Zealand.

Location: Shop 2, 14 Martin Place, Sydney 2000.
